Founded in 1992, PWNA sets industry standards for exterior cleaning through education, compliance, advocacy, and networking.

Power Washers of North America

Founded September 1992

The Power Washers of North America has been the exterior cleaning industry's professional home since 1992. We're a non-profit trade association built by contractors, for contractors — and our focus has always been the same: help the people doing this work do it safer, smarter, and with the credibility that comes from real training and real standards.

From pressure washing and soft washing to kitchen exhaust cleaning, fleet washing, concrete restoration, and beyond — PWNA serves the full spectrum of the exterior cleaning industry.

THE 4 PILLARS OF PWNA

Everything PWNA does is built around four pillars — the foundation that supports contractors at every stage of their business. Whether you're just getting started or running a multi-crew operation, these pillars are what make membership meaningful.

Education

Training isn't optional in this industry — it's what separates contractors who grow from contractors who struggle. PWNA offers industry-recognized certifications and continuing education through our annual convention and a network of trusted education partners. When you invest in PWNA training, you're building a business that clients can trust and competitors can't easily replicate.

Networking

Some of the most valuable lessons in this industry don't come from a manual — they come from someone who's already been through it. PWNA connects you with experienced contractors across every segment of exterior cleaning, from the guys doing residential soft washing to the teams handling industrial and commercial accounts.

Compliance

Regulatory compliance isn't something you want to learn about the hard way. PWNA keeps its members up to speed on the rules that directly affect how we operate — so you're not caught off guard and your business stays protected.

A Clear Voice for Our Industry

We advocate on behalf of every exterior cleaning contractor in North America, communicating the value of professional cleaning services to lawmakers, regulatory agencies, and the public. The more contractors who stand behind that voice, the harder it is to ignore — and the more protected every business in this industry becomes.
